End in Mind

I start with an end in mind,
then a Set-back
is always a Set-up
and getting from,
A to B, to C
is rather like traveling
from 1 to 2, to 3.

This is true
if I make a habit
to consult my vision
along life’s circuitous path
and hold in mind
the end result,

then over time
I come to find
what may initially seem
to be a set-back
in actuality, is my intuition,
prompting me to make
a course correction,
double space
in order to adjust
my internal compass
with a necessary thrust,
past ancient patterns
of distrust,
that could disrupt
a perfectly delightful result.
