Cells do talk!
The night I didn’t take,
my green drink
before salsa class,
WOW, what a body shock.

Down in the
sweat zone of Key West
a green drink:
ginger, beet, apple,
celery and lemon,
spirulina, chlorella, dulse
and kelp; was
a bedrock for three
dance classes a day.

Until the day
the green drink
fell off the routine
and my salsa partner
didn’t miss a beat
in pointing out
that something was amiss,
when a spin series
was off a notch.

Right then and there
I vowed to my
50 trillion cells,
I wouldn’t again
leave them in the lurch.
I had to do my part
and give my cells
what for them, sells.

Metabolic balance
involves my 50
trillion cell ringing
as one set of bells.
Now I’m back
on a routine of
Boogie Woogie
Bugle Boy of Company B.
